As a resident of Arcosanti for 6 years, Elana had the opportunity to experiment and hone their building skills in welding, bronze, wood, ceramics, and more. They co-founded the Cooperative at Arcosanti and the Convergence Festival. They are now living a nomadic life exploring the country for new inspiration and community.

Elana participated in a master’s program in 2011 in human development and early childhood psychology focused in the Reggio Emilia approach which is based on discovery learning and immersive play-based education. This experience has directly influenced Elana's work in immersive design.
